Leadership Circle
In the communities across Maine and throughout the country, the United Way provides essential health and human services.
Every one of us could probably think of someone we know who has been in need. Whether the need has been hospice services, housing, day care, food, emergency help because of a fire, or care of an elderly relative, every one of us at one time or another has needed a helping hand to get through life's difficulties.
As your 2009 Leadership Circle Chair, I encourage you to take a leading role in supporting our community and the United Way by becoming a Leadership Circle contributor. Leadership Circle contributions accounted for half of our 2008 United Way Annual Campaign. For those of you who are Leadership Circle contributors, I thank you for your generous donations! As a Board Member since 2004, I know that your donations are purposefully allocated by fellow Board Members and local volunteers to 54 services and programs serving individuals and families in our community. I have also met many of the recipients of your donations, their life circums
ances are varied but their message of gratitude is the same... "common message here." With the current economic climate, we are faced with another challenging year in our community. Any one of us or someone we know may be one crisis away from needing help. Our Leadership Circle donations will help the United Way of Kennebec Valley reach its goal to help these individuals and families in need.
Please consider becoming a Leadership Circle contributor by donating a minimum of $800. If you are currently contributing to the United Way I respectfully ask you to consider increasing your donation by 10% this year.
United Way makes it easy to give a leadership gift through personal or corporate contributions. Contributions can be made through a one-time donation, by installments or payroll deductions. Thank you for joining us in United Way's Leadership Circle!
Sincerely,

Stacey L. Morrison 2009 Leadership Circle Chair
